NMC Amazing Volunteer Board Members

Serves as a key strategic partner to the CEO and a secondary leader in fulfilling the organization's mission to empower youth and strengthen communities. They focuses on building "connections" between the Notre Maison Connects and external partners to provide extraordinary learning opportunities for our young adults.

Michelle Daniels ensures that the "connections" Notre Maison Connects builds are documented and sustainable. She keeps the board organized, so we may focus more effectively on our mission, the Greater Youth Initiative and community connections. 

Herbert "Herb" Lucas is an Accountant, Consultant, Fisherman and the primary financial officer for Notre Maison Connects. He is responsible for overseeing the financial health and integrity of our operations, ensuring that all funds are managed transparently to support the mission of empowering youth and supporting families.

Herb also organizes the annual fishing trip to Boston and any local fishing excursions with our youth. 

Craig is a Baltimore native and veteran of the US Air Force. He is the Program Assistant for Notre Maison Connects  , providing the essential administrative and logistical support needed to turn our organization’s vision into a daily reality. Collaborating with the CEO, he ensures that youth initiatives, community workshops, and special events are executed seamlessly.

George Howell is an entrepreneurial poet and personality type coach with a purpose. He graduated from Morgan State University with a degree in Psychology. George acts as the "voice" of the Notre Maison Connects fundraising campaign, bridging the gap between the youth we serve and generous donors to deliver a clear, emotionally impactful message. 

"Chief Welcoming Officer," is responsible for creating a warm, inclusive, and professional environment at all of Notre Maison Connects functions. She ensures that every guest, donor, and youth participant feels valued and "connected" from the moment they arrive.

Linda Stokes completed her B.S in Information Systems from Morgan State , M.S in Special Education from Coppin State and M.S in Urban School Counseling from John Hopkins University. She is currently working for MSDE at Charles H. Hickey Detention Center. Her experiences include, but are not limited to teaching and counseling for BCPSS for 27 years, mentoring youth for 20 years. Was an Owner and operate of a Day Care for 6 yrs. presently the owner of R.E.T.T’s Inc. a non-Profite and was a Day Care provider for 6 years . 

Kim Pelham is an entrepreneur, musician, writer, and educator who serves as one of Notre Maison Connects’ Youth Leaders. She enjoys serving and engaging with her community in anyway that she is led to. 

Nicole "Nikki" Cullings, Baltimore Native with a B.A. in Criminal Justice and a M.Ed. in Psychological Studies. Nikki plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere during our fundraising and community events. She provides high-quality beverage service while acting as an ambassador for Notre Maison Connects.

Tael’a Hughes is a hardworking, detail-oriented entrepreneur. She enjoys working in team settings and values collaborating with others to reach shared goals. She is reliable, organized, and always open to learning and growing. "Being part of Notre Maison Connects is an exciting opportunity for me. I’m honored to serve as a Youth Ambassador and give back to my community". 

As a peer leader, Tae'la is a vocal advocate for the program's mission of youth empowerment and community building. Her role is designed for high-potential students who embody Notre Maison Connects' core values and wish to serve as a bridge between the Connects and their fellow youth in Baltimore.

Stephen Dixon was an Educator for Baltimore City Public Schools. He had been employed with BCPSS for the last 23 years. He served as a Social Studies Teacher and an Educational Associate, fulfilling responsibilities of a School Test Coordinator, SLO Ambassador, Grade Reporter, Scheduler, and Union Representative. Stephen served as the SMART Goals instructor for the Greater Youth Initiative and created the Student Government platform for students in the Greater Youth Initiative to study political responsibilities and run for class officers. 

He is truly missed.
